Using Google Earth in classroom

I was not able to figure out the ways to use Google Earth in the classroom until I came across this video. It changed my outlook about using this interactive tool.

Google Earth is the most amazing tool that can be used by teachers in the class to teach students geography. It gives students a richer hands-on experience and a better point of reference when they are learning about countries. It makes learning fun! Teachers can use Google Earth to encourage students to find geographic features such as rivers, mountains, or they can make scavenger-like games out of researching the locations. Teaching about latitudes and longitudes can be made really simple by using this tool.

Here is link to the website Random Connection which points out the process of how Google Earth can be used to create interactive lessons for students.

Wish we had this interactive technology when I was in school.
